We Remember

We honor the memories of our patients who have passed. Thank you for letting us be a part of the special relationship you shared with them.

Fia Bouncy

Grieving the loss of an animal companion can be especially difficult because there are no rituals or societal guidelines to help us through the process. We envision this page as a space where you can reflect on the love you shared with your pet and create a tribute to their memory. We welcome photos, stories, poems, or any remembrance that feels meaningful to you. As a starting place, author and veterinarian Dr. Karen Fine has created a useful document with suggestions for writing an obituary for your pet:https://karenfinedvm.com/guide-to-writing-a-pet-obituary/ Her website also has a list of Pet-Loss Resources:https://karenfinedvm.com/resources/ MN Pets has a list of local resources that you may also find helpful during this difficult time https://www.mnpets.com/blog/local-resources.

Margo

Margo entered the world on March 14th, 2023, and entered our hearts and home ten weeks later. Margo bonded to Jodee immediately and became her fierce protector. While she never growled, snarled, or bit anyone, she did go into police dog mode if any stranger got to close to her.

Margo loved the parks of Minneapolis, especially the woods of Theodore Wirth. By my estimation, Margo and I walked over 7000 miles together.

Margo approached and crossed the rainbow bridge at home as I caressed her, kissed her, and told her how much mommy and daddy loved her.

We will forever miss her and never forget her.

Lil Hootini

The Hoot was a precious bundle of joy who came to me from my grandmas farm knowing he was sick. He sadly had an illness that was incurable and despite multiple efforts from many amazing humans, we had to to say our goodbyes at only 7 months old. The Hoot reminds us no matter what life throws at you, it’s important to stay positive and keep moving forward. He was so full of life and is missed every single day.

Mr. Blu

We adopted Mr. Blu in July 2017. Nearly 8, he needed to be the only pet. He learned to climb stairs, & soon after ruled a 3-story home. AKA “The Supervisor” he oversaw all goings on & was also a fashion connoisseur, yet posh cat trees were not for him. He loved to sit anywhere the sun was shining, & sleep in front of the fireplace, on the radiator, in his heated bed, & on a blanket on Andrew’s lap. He would hang at the kitchen island, 1 arm slung on the chair, never desiring our food. Robot toys bored him. Instead, he loved a mouse on string, & some laser tag. Xmas was his favorite time of year. We miss him dearly.

Homer

Homer was incredibly sweet and a little bit rascally. He loved sleeping on our legs, being hand fed his kibble and especially loved his sis. He was pure unconditional love. We miss him every day.
